We partner with clients to deliver efficient, resilient infrastructure that supports long-term performance and sustainable growth.

MRWA BRIDGE PROJECTS
WML has assisted AECOM with numerous Main Roads WA bridge projects over the duration of 2022. The bridges were spread over the southwest and great southern region of the Western Australia.

SAND PITS ROAD, GEOTECHNICAL INVESTIGATION AND SSE
A 42 hectare land development project is currently underway on Sand Pits Road in West Dardanup that will produce 18 large residential lots.

NIFTY MINE COPPER CONCENTRATE HEAP LEACHING FACILITY
WML’s role in this project was to undertake a Geotechnical Investigation for the relocation of the existing processing plant and 1,000,000m2 heap leach area. The investigation involved the drilling of 20 boreholes and excavation of 75 test pits across the site in mainly greenfield areas.

LYNAS MT WELD EXPANSION PROJECT
Lynas Rare Earths is a producer of rare earth materials and is the world’s only significant producer of separated rare earth materials outside of China.

FORREST HIGHWAY SERVICE CENTRES
WML was engaged by Perkins to design the exit and entry ramps for the new service centre on Forrest Highway Lot 601 & 602 just to the south of Pinjarra.

SOUTH WESTERN HIGHWAY THOMPSON HILL SECTION REALIGNMENT
WML was engaged by MRWA-SWR to design the re-alignment of a section of the South Western Highway referred to as the Thompson Hill section. This section of road was identified as a road safety issue due to the reverse curves and overtaking lane combination in a high speed zone.

LYNAS CRACKING AND LEACHING PLANT
The Lynas Mt Weld mine in Western Australia is acknowledged as one of the world’s premier rare earths deposits, and in 2023, Lynas also moved its operations to Western Australia. WML provided engineering services at the existing Mt Weld mine site as well as the newly constructed cracking and leaching plant in Kalgoorlie.

MITCHELL FREEWAY VINCENT STREET INTERSECTION RETAINING WALL DESIGN
WML was engaged by Main Roads Western Australia to undertake the geotechnical investigation and geotechnical design of a retaining wall at the Mitchell Freeway and Vincent Street intersection.

NEW TAILINGS DISPOSAL CELL
Investigation of the existing Dalyellup site revealed the tailings to behave as a stiff, fissured over-consolidated clay within 12 months of deposition. The effect of solar drying and under-drainage were deemed significant in achieving a high early strength and increased solids content.
