WML provided a solution which met all requirements whilst also achieving a design life of 100 years.

WML was engaged by Main Roads Western Australia to undertake the geotechnical investigation and geotechnical design of a retaining wall at the Mitchell Freeway and Vincent Street intersection. This composite grouted anchored sheet pile retaining wall system allows the widening of the exit slip road at Vincent St in order to improve peak hour traffic flow, which is achieved by improving access ramp capacity as well as incorporating smart signals.
